Why campaign about big issues when you could spend time ranting about late night hosts? That seems to be Trump's latest strategy, with the former president going after Jimmy Kimmel earlier in the week before turning his attention to Stephen Colbert in an angry Truth Social rant on Wednesday.

During his latest Late Show monologue the host responds directly, line by line.

"The former President who, may I remind you, is less than six weeks away from an election that for him could mean either ultimate power or a serious prison sentence, took the time to add that I am 'VERY BORING'," says Colbert in the clip above, before revealing that he likely angered Trump by calling him "kind of boring" during the PBS special that Trump was watching.

"He's clearly upset because I called him boring, and I called him boring because I knew it would upset him, which it did because he's so predictable, which is ultimately what makes him...kind of boring," smiles Colbert.
