Saturday Night Live continues its election lampooning with a cold open covering this week's vice presidential debate. Kamala Harris (Maya Rudolph) and Doug Emhoff (Andy Samberg) sit down to watch the CBS-run debate, which featured JD Vance (Bowen Yang) dodging questions and Tim Walz (Jim Gaffigan) grading term papers.

As the debate went on, however, Vance and Walz found themselves agreeing on some things — which caused Rudolph's Harris to spit out her wine and ask, "Why are they friends? Why are they vibing?"

Dana Carvey returned as Joe Biden, not knowing where he was, eating ice cream, and being confused about who the hell Obama's VP was.

"This is a huge victory," Harris said at the end of the debate. "It made no difference!"
