Elon Musk appeared at Trump's recent rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he literally jumped for joy while coming on stage ("He's acting like a guy who won a radio contest," says Jon Stewart in the Daily Show clip above) before making a speech about the importance of the First and Second Amendments.
The problem? As Stewart demonstrates in his monologue, Trump only seems to be a fan of the Freedom of Speech when people are saying positive things about him.
"Elon, were you not watching the rest of the show?" asks Stewart. "A movie Trump doesn't like is gonna get sued. A tech mogul he doesn't like he wants to put in prison. It's not free speech if only Trump's admirers get to do it without consequence, that's not how it works!"
Stewart follows it up with a direct response to Musk saying that "the Second Amendment is there to ensure that we have the First Amendment."
"Guns, from what I can tell, seem to mostly protect the speech of the people holding the gun," says Stewart. "It's a tool of intimidation."
