During a recent interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity, Donald Trump did his best to shed the "weird" label that's been attached to him and running mate JD Vance, trying to argue that Vance is "a solid rock".

John Oliver begs to differ on Sunday's episode of Last Week Tonight, drawing our attention to multiple video clips and incidents from the campaign trail and beyond that appear to suggest otherwise — from the now infamous donut shop interaction to Vance's attempt to make a "joke" about Kamala Harris at a public speaking event years back, which was met with a classic tumbleweed response.

"Look, JD, comedian to comedian," says Oliver. "Never make the setup 'I heard a joke that I thought was pretty funny recently,' but if you do, make sure that what you say next is funny and also an actual joke."

For further proof of Vance's awkwardness, see Oliver's dissection of his odd laugh.
