Apple Watch deals are still live on Amazon – for now

There's still time to save on an Apple Watch if you're looking to upgrade your wearable game. The Apple Watch Series 9 offers the same 18-hour battery life as the new Series 10 and costs $100 less.

In our review, we liked the Series 9's bright display, the look of the Double Tap feature, and how fast the watch was compared to previous models. And we love the price now, but it won't be this cheap for long!

Treat yourself to a massive gaming monitor, even if you're not a gamer

I'll be honest: I'm not a gamer. I used to be one, but I don't have time for it anymore.

Samsung Odyssey
They don't make them bigger than this. Credit: Samsung

That doesn't change the fact that I really, really want one of Samsung's massive, curvy, OLED gaming monitors. No, I don't really need the 240Hz refresh rate or the 0.03ms response time. Nor do I need it to be curved. Heck, if I do get one, it'll just be a very, very wide instance of Chrome with approximately 74 tabs open.

But...just look at the thing. It's a 49-inch OLED monster with a 5,120 x 1,440 pixel resolution. That's a lot of inches and a lot of pixels. You could be having not one, not two, but three Chrome windows open, side by side. Each with approximately 74 tabs open.

There's no two ways about it: A monitor this big and this nice will simply make your online life...nicer.

Now for the good part: Amazon Prime Big Deal Days are still going on (for a couple more hours), and this exact monitor costs $949.99, which is 41 percent of its regular, $1,599.99 price. This is your chance to go big. And don't think about the fact that your table is not big enough. It is big enough. It is good enough. You are good enough. You deserve this monitor. It's time.

To make it easier for you, we've created a massive, curated list of 300+ deals that are still live on Amazon, and you can check it out over here. The list is constantly updated, and we'll keep updating it as long as Prime Big Deal Days discounts are live.

A Roomba that does everything on its own

Cleaning your house is a nuisance, and it will be even more of a nuisance once AI takes over the world and reduces us, humans, to simple maintenance machines.

iRobot Roomba J7+
Hands-free cleaning. Credit: iRobot

Right now, however, we're in that sweet spot where AI is very useful but not yet advanced enough to enslave us. Case in point: The iRobot Roomba j7+ self-emptying robotic vacuum, now available on Amazon for $490 (down from $799.99).

This Roomba is smart enough to vacuum and mop your home while avoiding obstacles like socks, shoes, and pet waste. It will even make personalized cleaning suggestions by learning your habits and routines. Even better, it also has a self-emptying function, disposing of dirt into its own enclosed bag system, meaning you'll only have to empty it once every 60 days. It's rarely available this cheap, so this may be your chance to start saving some time on cleaning and use that time to prepare for the impending AI apocalypse.

Last day, iPad day.

It's the final day of Prime Big Deal Days, and frankly, I have no money left.

Should you be able to find some old stash in a sock somewhere, there are still plenty of deals to grab, including this $199 deal on a 9th gen, 10.2-inch Apple iPad (previously $329).

Apple iPad
It's an older model, but it'll probably serve you just fine. Credit: Apple

The best thing about these savings events, in my opinion, is that they give you a chance to try out some piece of tech you normally wouldn't splurge on. The iPad is one of those devices which you don't exactly need but it's really, really nice to have, and now is a rare chance to get one under two hundred bucks.

For the money, you get Apple's A13 Bionic chip, 64GB of storage, a 12-megapixel rear camera, and Wi-Fi connectivity. But the numbers don't really tell the whole story. The thing about the iPad is that Apple has perfected it in the last couple of years, meaning that even an older model (current version is the 10th gen, 10.9-inch iPad) will be able to handle most tasks with ease. Frankly, if you're not buying it to run the latest games, you don't really need a pricier one.

The 10.2-inch iPad is available in two colors, Silver and Space Gray, and the color choice does not affect the price.

I've been eyeing Bose's green headphones and they're finally on sale for Prime Day
green bose quietcomfort headphones against blue background

If you step into my boyfriend’s and my apartment, it’d be pretty easy to guess our favorite color. We have green bedding, a green shower curtain, green plants everywhere — heck, I’m evening typing this on a green keyboard. So, when we first saw Bose’s cypress green colorway for the QuietComfort headphones, we knew we wanted to buy them.

Now, I review headphones for a living, so I have a pretty solid stock of them and I’m not chomping at the bit to drop a ton of money on a new pair. The Bose QuietComforts retail for $349, and neither my boyfriend nor I could justify spending that money. However, for Prime Big Deal Days, the Bose QC headphones have dropped down to $199, or $150 off. That, I can justify. (The only other time the headphones have been this discounted was July's Prime Day.)

I personally have not tried out this specific model of headphones, but my colleagues Bethany Allard and Samantha Mangino rave about the Bose QuietComfort line, and I’d buy anything they recommend.

I know these headphones are going to be wildly comfortable and I know Bose doesn’t disappoint when it comes to noise cancellation or sound quality. The QCs have an adjustable EQ, quiet and aware modes, and up to 24 hours of battery life per charge. I bought these yesterday on day one of Prime Big Deal Days and am not-so-patiently waiting for them to be delivered Monday.

Big sound for less money

I love it when companies launch new headphones every year, because then I can get the last year's models so much cheaper.

Sony WH-1000XM4
Don't pay the full price. Get the last year's model. Credit: Sony

Case in point: During Amazon Prime Deal Days, you can buy Sony's excellent WH-1000XM4 over-the-ear headphones for $198.00 (down from $348.00). Despite the clunky name which we'll never get over, these cans are some of the best around: They're supremely comfy, have stellar noise cancellation, and fantastic sound. There's a newer model, the WH-1000XM5, but it's so similar to XM4 that you won't lose much by choosing the last year's model.

Only the blue color is available at the price, but I dig how understated it is, and wouldn't mind choosing it over the slightly pricier black or white model.

If you want something even cheaper, Apple's Beats Studio Pro are currently on sale for just $169.99, down from $349.99. Yes, that's less than half the original price. For your money, you'll get active noise cancellation, lossless audio (if you connect them to a suitable sound source via USB-C), and up to 40 hours of battery life. This lower price is available for all the colors except black.

Get an iPhone...for a penny!

Yes, the headline is true. You can get an iPhone for one penny. If you only had 10 cents to spend, you could buy this iPhone and still have 9 cents left to spend on other goods and services!

I'm not talking about just any iPhone. You can actually get an Apple iPhone 16, with 128GB of storage, for a single penny.

Apple iPhone Boost Mobile
This is as close as it gets to a 100% discount. Credit: Amazon

There are certain caveats, though, but fortunately they don't include you selling your soul to an otherwordly entity. Instead, you'll have to sign up for a 36-month Boost Mobile plan. And you'll also have to pay the taxes on the full, $829.99 retail price, though that depends on where you are. And the iPhone is locked. But no otherwordly entities are involved, I swear.

So how much is that Boost Mobile plan? Well, it starts at $65 per month and includes unlimited talk, text, and data, plus the ability to upgrade to a new iPhone each year. But you need some sort of plan anyways, so if you're willing to switch to Boost Mobile, this is a pretty sweet deal. Oh, and here's the best part: You can get the iPhone in five different colors, including Black, White, Teal, Ultramarine, and Pink.

Nothing else mattress

Scientists says sleep is important. So why, then, do I cheap out when it's time to buy a new mattress? Perhaps I inherently value electronic gadgets over soft, plushy things more.

Nectar mattress
Five layers of comfort! Credit: Amazon

Right now, however, you can both cheap out and get a good mattress. Nectar's fancy, multi-layered queen mattress is available at a pretty big discount over at Amazon -- it's currently listed at $551.65, a full 39 percent off its standard price of $899.

For the money, you get a queen-sized, 12-inch mattress of medium firmness, with five layers of various materials keeping you comfy, including a layer of gel memory foam. Fun fact: As a kid, I thought that memory foam makes your memory better while you sleep on it. And it's true: The more memory foam your mattress has, the harder it is to forget how much you paid for it! Unless, of course, you bought it at a huge discount, which you can do right now.

Other sizes are available, too, with discounts ranging from 15 percent for the full-sized mattress, to 41 percent for the twin-sized version.

It's time to improve your espresso game

Coffee is good. It's more than good, but I cannot write a better sentence about it because I've had no coffee this morning, yet. See what I mean? Coffee really is good.

Breville Barista Express
It even has a PID! Credit: Breville/Amazon

The bad news is, if you happen to like espresso, which in my humble opinion is the best expression of coffee, it's actually not that simple to make a good espresso. It requires quality beans, a pricy grinder, a good espresso machine...or does it?

One of the deals that caught my eye over at Amazon today is the one for the Breville Barista Express BES870XL. You see, all-in-one espresso machines typically aren't up to par, but the higher-end Brevilles really do make fine espressos. At $549.95, which is the current price for the Breville on Amazon, it may not be an impulse buy, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper than the standard price of $749.95. I'd do the math on how much cheaper that is, but as I said before, I haven't had my morning coffee yet.

The Breville Barista Express truly is an all-in-one machine, with a built-in quality grinder, a pro-style portafilter, and a milk frother for those pesky guests who prefer milk in their coffee. I'm joking, it's perfectly alright to have milk in your coffee, and I will pretend to stand behind that sentence for as long as necessary. Oh, for espresso purists, the Breville also has a PID or digital temperature control, so you can be sure the extraction happens at an optimal temperature.

Do have in mind that this is a manual espresso maker, meaning it will require some skill to operate, but it's nothing you can't learn in a week or three.

Samsung Galaxy S24, because you deserve it

Yes, everyone has a phone. Doesn't mean you can't get a new phone. Doesn't mean you can't get a top-notch, Samsung Galaxy flagship phone. And it doesn't mean you can't get it at a sizeable discount!

Samsung Galaxy S24
Get the Samsung Galaxy S24, and save $200 for something else. Like a hat. A nice hat. A very nice hat. Credit: Samsung

Yes, the Samsung Galaxy S24 can be had for $659.99, a full $200 off its usual price. That's for the version with 256GB of storage in a variety of colors, including Onyx Black, Cobalt Violet, Amber Yellow, and Marble Gray.

For the money, you'll get a Samsung Galaxy phone with a 6.2-inch display (I like to call this the "just right" size), 8GB of RAM, a 50-megapixel camera, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip inside. You'll also get that warm, fuzzy feeling of not paying the full price for a phone which, frankly, you should almost never do.

Possibly the best Apple Watch deal ever

So the new Apple Watch Series 10 is out. It's pretty great, but the upgrades compared to last year's version aren't that big. Which is why, if you're a deal hunter, should look at Apple Watch Series 9, as it's probably in the sweet spot of Apple's Watch universe right now.

Apple Watch Series 9
Series 10 is out, so it's the perfect time to buy the Series 9. Credit: Apple

Now, Apple doesn't sell the Series 9 anymore, but you can still get it on Amazon, and right now it starts at $299 ($100 off its list price).

The Series 9 has a very bright OLED display with always-on functionality, 18 hours of battery life, and a ton of health and fitness features, including a heart rate monitor, sleep tracking, fitness tracking, and even the new sleep apnea detection feature is available. The only thing you'll really be missing on compared to Series 10 is faster charging and diving functionality, which won't be a huge deal for most users.

If three hundred bucks still sounds like a lot, you can also grab the Apple Watch SE (2nd generation) for $169 ($80 of its list price), which has a smaller display but still packs a ton of health and fitness features, making it a great entry point for anyone wishing to try an Apple Watch for the first time.

Other Apple Watch devices are also available cheaper on Amazon right now; check out our overview of the best deals we've found here.

All that's missing is the discount

I always wanted one of Dyson's holey thingies. Like me, they're empty inside, yet somehow functional. The problem is, they're also kinda pricey, though for the price you do get Dyson quality, so it evens out a little.

Dyson AM09
It's been around for a while and it still looks like it's from the future. Credit: Amazon/Dyson

The good news is, thanks to Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days, you can now get a Dyson Hot+Cool AM09 Jet Focus Heater and Fan for $299.23, a full 36% off the list price. Yes, I also have no idea how Amazon comes up with these prices.

For the money, you get a thingamajig that cools you in the summer and warms you up in winter, with a timer, oscillator, and a remote control. In Dyson's words, it works by "amplifying the surrounding air, giving an uninterrupted stream of smooth airflow." It also looks very cool while doing it, inducing the envy of your visitors.

Added bonus: If by any small chance you invent a time machine, a Dyson device is the best thing you can take back in time as it will give you the best chance to impress those medieval folks and have them appoint you as king. Do bring some sort of big battery though, as electricity during the Middle Ages was very scarce.

Amazon Kindle, bundled up

Isn't this great? You no longer have to wait for that specific, pre-holiday time of year to buy stuff at a discount. Thanks to Amazon's Prime Day, originally started as a 20-year celebration of Amazon Prime in July, but later expanded into October, you have the opportunity to spend your hard-earned cash in...well, October (only this one is called Prime Big Deal Days).

Amazon Kindle Scribe Essentials bundle
Amazon Kindle Scribe Essentials bundle is $140 off its full price right now. Credit: Amazon

And why not, you ask yourself? Why not buy that laptop, or e-book reader, or scary-looking lamp, right now? But how do you find the best deals? Don't worry, we're here to help, and we're starting with something that's almost always discounted at Prime Day: Amazon's own Kindle.

Mind you, Prime Big Deal Days haven't officially kicked off yet, but Amazon's already offering some early days on the Kindle. You can, for example, get a Kindle Paperwhite bundle, which contains a Paperwhite with 16GB of storage, a Black Fabric Cover, and a power adapter, for $134.97 (a $70 discount). Or you can splurge and go for the Kindle Scribe Essentials bundle, which includes Basic Pen, Leather Folio Cover with Magnetic Attach in Burgundy, and a power adapter. And, of course, the Kindle Scribe itself, with 16GB of storage. That one will cost you $299.97 ($140 off).

Prime Big Deal Days starts in a little under an hour, and will be updating this post regularly with new deals, so stay tuned.
