Meditation app Calm has become known for its sleep stories: soothing bedtime tales narrated by the celebrities of the moment, be it Harry Styles or Regé-Jean Page. The title of Calm narrator is up for grabs now, with the app launching a TikTok competition to discover the next voice of Calm.

The competition, which is the first of its kind for Calm, is simple. On TikTok, Calm has released a video by Calm Sleep Story Expert, Erik Braa, who breaks it down. To enter, contestants stitch the post with a video of their own, which can be anything as long as it's original.

Think: a made-up bedtime story, your last text, or a grocery list.

#NextVoiceofCalm is open for a month, so there's plenty of time to perfect your public audition. The winner will receive the chance to record one Calm Sleep Story as the latest narrator, with the story going live by early Fall. Other perks include a lifetime Calm subscription and $5000 (£4000).

Calm's search sprouted as commentators around the world have been reaching out to the app in comments across TikTok, either suggesting someone else's voice for a Sleep Story, or asking Calm to collaborate with them. The mental health app took note, and now a bedtime story listened to by millions could be in your hands.
